    Scope of Work

    • Deliver hands-on instruction for commercially available software and hardware used for the Maryland Judiciary including, but not limited to, current and legacy versions of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, Office 365, PDF software, mobile devices, printers, scanners, etc.
    • Deliver hands-on instruction for highly customized or proprietary software used by the Maryland Judiciary, which may include the Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) case management system, PeopleSoft Human Resources and Learning Management system (branded as CONNECT), etc.
    • Attend pre-instruction/deployment setup meetings and conference calls locally in Annapolis and in Maryland Judiciary locations throughout the State of Maryland as needed.
    • Provide post instruction/installation/upgrade deskside support for all users.
    • Function as liaison between end users and Judicial College of Maryland leadership and designated individuals including help desk team, programmers, analysts, technicians, and project managers.
    • Provide phone/help desk support as assigned.
    • Assist with all functions necessary to create, edit, modify, produce, and disseminate instructional documentation as assigned.
    • Perform other functions necessary to support the mission of the AOC Judicial College of Maryland.

    Key Personnel Required Skills

    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent writing skills (to produce professional technical documentation).
    • Interpersonal skills that include patience, tact, political correctness, and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
    • Extensive experience delivering customer training programs to individuals and groups of users.
    • Ability to assist in identifying and troubleshooting user-defined problems as well as participating in implementing appropriate solutions.
    • Proficiency with current and legacy versions of the Windows operating systems including XP, 7, 8, 10, and others.
    • Proficiency with current versions of Microsoft Office applications, including 2016 and Office 365.
    • One year of direct experience using Camtasia.
    • Aptitude to become proficient with commercial and proprietary software and hardware used by the Maryland Judiciary including, but not limited to, case management software, revenue collection software, personal computers, printers, cash register system components, scanners, and mobile devices.
    • Extensive experience providing education to adults in a work setting.
    • Experience developing instructional videos is preferred.
    • Experience delivering short term training for professionally diverse groups is preferred.
    • Experience with learning management systems is preferred.
    Physical Capabilities
    The Contractor’s Resource (CR) must have:
    • The ability to transport themselves to designated locations throughout the state.
    • The ability to lift personal computers, printers, cash drawers, scanners, and other equipment associated with a standard computer workstation.
    • The ability to move freely through a training/support environment to assist and instruct as necessary to deliver intended educational information.
    • All candidates must have a four-year degree from an accredited university OR six years of experience.  It is ideal that the candidate has a four-year degree. 2.2.2 Candidate with an advanced degree in higher education or a related discipline and Microsoft certifications issued within the last five years is preferred.
