SCC’s Division of Human Resources (HR) needs an OD consultant to help manage our succession planning processes and development plans for high potential employees. In addition, there may be some opportunities to support the development of competency models and tools for development. Working in partnership with Division Leaders, the OD Consultant will guide them in development action plans to accelerate the development of their high potentials.
Schedule: Approximately 25-30 hours per week with days/times flexible based on need; most work needs to be done on-site at the SCC
Project Duration: 8 weeks
Required Skills: Preferred qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development or Organization Development and a Master’s Degree in a related field. Consultant should have proven experience in coaching, succession planning, developing action plans for high potentials and design of competency models and tools. A successful candidate should possess the following capabilities:
Excellent coaching skills with senior level leaders and mid-level managers
Ability to develop action plans for high potential employees
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Collaborative, team player with the ability to facilitate discussions and reach agreement
Knowledge and experience in succession planning and the development of competency models and tools
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and judgment and decision-making skills
Self-motivation and dependability
Professional and confidential in the handling of information
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
ASSIGNMENT DURATION: Approximately 8 weeks, with the potential to last longer.
