Rachael Afolabi is an educational technology and instructional design leader. Currently leading the corporate instructional design and learning management system team at Freedom Mortgage, Rachael was formerly the Executive Director, Digital Learning/Workforce Development and Innovation at Carlow University, where she led the online and digital learning initiatives, and was responsible for spearheading the institution’s foray into immersive learning, and Competency-Based Education. She has previously led training and instructional design projects at Deloitte, Accenture, Motorola Solutions, and Colgate-Palmolive. Rachael is also an adjunct faculty at Carlow University, a technology consultant, and researcher in immersive technologies.

Session Description:

Evaluating Impact will examine online learning experience design, with a focus on the user experience in a digital learning environment. It goes beyond reviewing any specific technology or application but focuses on best practices for course design to produce effective learning analytics.
