Session Description:

Steps You Can Do to Make Your Courses Inclusive & Accessible

When we embrace the principles of cultural awareness and inclusion, we are driven to enhance our personal, professional, and organizational capabilities. Our journey takes us into the realm of Universal Design, where accessibility and inclusivity take center stage. By seamlessly weaving the concepts of instructional design, learning sciences, and cultural sensitivity, we have the power to create an enriching learning experience. This involves the thoughtful integration of diverse visuals, a variety of voices, and inclusive language. Through this approach, we can cultivate a truly empowering and supportive learning environment that resonates profoundly with learners from all walks of life. Attendees will also receive links for valuable resources.

This program aligns with the following capabilities of the ATD Capability Model: Communication, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Instructional Design, Learning, Training Delivery & Facilitation
