Our USA-based client is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to develop software training courses for their large portfolio of products. The position is 100% virtual but is full-time. This is not a side job - you must be available during normal business hours.
Description of the project: Work with a large ID team to update existing and create new software-related learning content. The majority of the projects you work on involve ILT design and development.
Rate: $48/hour 1099 independent contractor
Estimated start end date: ASAP; 6 months contract with strong possibility of extension.
Specific skills, competencies, and tools required:
-Experience designing training for any software
-Strong experience designing and developing ILT and/or vILT
-Experience with XML content authoring
-CCMS experience is a plus.
-Windows 10 operating system
-MS Office 2013
-Articulate Storyline 360 (if assigned to eLN)
-Skype for Business
-Available 40 hours per week during normal business hours (9 AM - 5 PM Eastern Time Zone US)
-Must be detail-oriented.
-Must have a minimum of 5 years of ID experience
-Must first take a work test that is designed to test your attention to detail.
-Must have your own PC and software with Windows 10 and Skype for Business.
-Next, must show design examples during an interview via a webinar. The client does not want to keep your samples - only see your work. Samples you will need to show: ILT samples (IG/PG) and eLearning course that you designed and developed. Samples should not be academic.
