Job Title: Training Developer

Pay rate: $45 to 53/hr
Location: Open to St. Cloud, Richmond, DC, Wilmington markets (Rate is the same)
There will be an opportunity to work from home on some weeks.
Our team works collaboratively with senior business leaders and developers to research, design and develop enhanced learning experiences for several of our People Leader and Diversity & Inclusion awareness & development programs. As a Learning Designer on the team, you will play a critical role in making sure our digital and in-person learning experiences are designed with the end-learner and business objectives in mind while leveraging Capital One's brand and design standards. We are looking to enhance our campus development programs to ensure maximum impact.
In this role the candidate would work with clients to determine skill/knowledge needs and the most appropriate learning solution. Influences and drives learning recommendations from idea to implementation. Candidates would work to determine scope, as well as schedule and resource requirements for the development of learning solutions. Candidate would also ensure successful handoffs to Program Managers for ongoing learning solutions.
End-to-end training project management.
Negotiates directly with clients and obtains client agreement and support for training programs.
Creates training strategies to address complex projects.
Integrates training plans with other related work streams in a project environment.
Applies recognized instructional design methodologies for adult learning.
Conducts needs assessments, identifying specific performance gaps and knowledge gaps.
Writes effective learning objectives, content, and training/project plans at curricula/program level.
Develops training material in support of multiple learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic).
Mindful and deliberate in designing and creating culturally inclusive content for diverse learner population.
Balances recommendations specific to various instructional strategies and delivery methods with department standards and templates.
Design highly polished blended learning solutions that adhere to our One Brand & Design guidelines.
Creates high-impact, real-world case studies, simulations and exercises. Works with subject matter experts to obtain content and to develop relevant case studies and exercises.
Facilitates Train the Trainers (TTT) and meetings dealing with training projects with all levels of management/associates.
Manages relationships at all levels - especially skilled at setting expectations, providing clear, succinct updates, and identifying risks.
Designs and develops training evaluation strategies using Kirkpatrick Levels 1 to 4; ability to clearly articulate ROI and business impact of training programs. Implements training evaluation strategies and reporting mechanisms, as needed.

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Gsuite, Google apps, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Client consulting with Learning professionals regarding training needs
creating learning agendas based on needs assessment
Design and development of training content and job aids; includes creation and editing of training materials
Project/Process management and implementation (includes any vendor management tied to this work)
Tracking/Reporting/Evaluation of training
Learning project coordination/ support
Bachelor''s Degree or military experience
At least 2 years creating a learning strategy and curriculum based on learner needs, business needs, and modern learning theories and models
Experience in delivery, client consulting; project management; data analysis; training facilitation
Master's Degree in Learning Design, Master''s Degree in Instructional Design, Master''s Degree in Educational Technology
Possesses a minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing learning strategy, training content, programs, curricula, and integrated projects;
A strong portfolio of learning or instructional design case studies
At least 5 years of experience designing blended learning experiences and touch points in digital and classroom settings
At least 3 years of experience working with agile team of learning program managers, designers and developers
At least 3 years of experience working within Atlassian JIRA for project management
Experience with design methodologies such as ADDIE, Design Thinking, UX
