    Does the very thought of crafting a multi-element learning program that will make employees lives’ better make you giddy? When someone asks “what floor?” in an elevator, and another person responds with “level 4,” do you immediately think of Kirkpatrick? Have you had at least one discussion in your life that argues the merits of ADDIE or SAM? Is learner-centric development the way you build learning programs?

    If you answered YES to these questions, we have a new opportunity for you! We’re looking for aLearning & Development Program Manager to join Altria Client Services in Richmond, VA. This role will work with a team to develop enterprise-wide blended L&D programs for the Altria Family of Companies. Program areas include (but aren’t limited to) new hire onboarding, new leader programs, compliance, and diversity & inclusion.

    You will:

    • Co-design learner-centric scalable learning and leadership development programs that align to Altria’s business priorities
    • Conduct thoughtful needs analysis and research to design programs that build leadership capabilities using instructor-led, virtual and experiential modalities
    • Review and continually evolve existing development programs to align with changing business priorities
    • Measure the success and return on investment of development programs
    • Guide stakeholders from a variety of functions and companies in crafting culturally-relevant programs
    • Facilitate engaging and exciting instructor-led experiences that delight learners
    • Create reinforcement tools to embed learning outside of classroom/eLearning experiences
    • Strategically maximize LMS capabilities, and continuously refresh development content
    • Build and maintain L&D vendor relationships
    • Ensure that you stay within the allocated budgets for programs
    • Assist in developing marketing campaigns that inspire team members to engage in our development programs
    • Partner with stakeholders from various levels in the company to ensure learning objectives are met
    • Advocate for new technology solutions in the learning space, like mobile solutions, gamification, and AI
    • Model and reinforce our leadership advantage: shaping the future, growing people and teams, and delivering winning results.

    Specific Skills

    You will need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or related field
    • 7+ years’ experience in a Learning & Development role with demonstrated success in learning programs, development initiatives, learning facilitation and reinforcement, program design, systems proficiency, performance management, and employee communications

    It would be great if you have:

    • Strong partnership skills and ability to lead group dynamics to achieve exceptional results
    • Ability to efficiently deliver an effective learning product
    • Agility and ability to thrive through change and maintain composure through ambiguity
    • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong detail orientation and meeting ambitious deadlines
    • A solutions-oriented mindset with an ability to creatively solve problems
    • End-to-end program management experience
    • An innate curiosity that drives you to achieve
    • Organizational change management
    • Ability to build trust, credibility and relationships quickly
    • Fluency in appealing to different-sized audiences, various learning styles, and different levels of engagement among learners
    • Ability to influence all levels of the organization
    • Knowledge of andragogy and behavioral psych theories (as they apply to learning)
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Grit
    • Proficiency in eLearning authoring software
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    • CPLP or SPHR certification
    • Master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or related field
